FCC 1142N APs in ETSI Region

Hi Guys

We have a couple of AIR-LAP1142N-A-K9 APs here in Scotland. I think they were bought by mistake (we needed AIR-LAP1142-E-K9's). I want to put them to use instead of them lying around in our cupboard. My idea was to use them for Wireless surveys. My questions are:

1. If I use them for surveying, will they give me the same survey results as if I was using ETSI APs? We use AirMagnet for surveying. In essence I think my question is more related to the differences between FCC & ETSI APs I think.

2. What are the legal ramifications of using FCC APs in ETSI for a brief period of time (ie for a survey)?

If you need any more info, please let me know.

Cheers

Stephen

stephen.ellis2,

You have to see the 2.4-GHz Maximum Power Levels per Regulatory Domains

Hope that this helps you.
