How do I View available wireless networks in Windows 2000?

Hi,

I am still running windows 2000 on an IBMT20 Laptop. Dont laugh, it works well.

I have an Aironet 340 pc card installed and it has no trouble connecting to the nearest wireless lan automatically.

But in XP, there is a facility to view wireless networks and gives their status.

How can I do this in Windows 2000? Is there a utility that I can download and install to W2K?

Thanks

Lawrence Slater

Hi,

i would suggest you to use the Aironet Client Utility to configure the wireless adapter. This tool also shows the available networks.

You can download it from the cisco.com software download section.
