Hi all. I have 4 Aironet 1130AG standalone WAPs and I need to add on 2 Aironet 1602i standalone WAPs as repeaters to extend the same network. Is it possible for me to save the configuration of a 1130AG that is configured as a repeater and then upload it to the 1602i WAPs? Or do I need to manually configure the 1602i WAPs as repeaters? Thanks.
Repeater only works with native vlan & therefore AP management & users should be on the same vlan at repeater AP. Given example is simply using Open Auth, but you can add required secuirity mechanism based on what is configured in our 1131 environment
Thanks Scott and rasikanayanajith for the replies. I was able to find the answer and configure my new APs with the info from the older manual (I was looking in a newer one which did not have all of the same information). Reading the article on autonomous AP repeater helped me learn some things also.
You may copy the running config and make the desired staion role and security changes according to your new 1602i standalone AP and also you may configure the 1602i manually from scratch through GUI or CLI.
