I cannot get the Amazon kindle to connect to my Cisco Wireless network

I'm running the 1142 APs with version 6.x on the WLC 4400. I have no security at the moment. Any ideas why it won't connect?

I suppose that all other devices can connect with no issues?  Well what does the WLC log show when you try to connect?

And it's operating with Open authentication, right?

I would also remove the existing wireless profile you created and re-create the profile on the kindle.
