Raj,

On which WLC interface are you assigning it a new IP? Make sure you are changing the management interface (and not ap-manager).

Try closing and reopening your browser or using a different browser than the one you used to make the change, or even trying from another computer altogether.

Try http://. There have been a rare number of times that I've seen the secure web (https) somehow get disabled on the WLC and only http works until I re-enable https.

Managing the WLC while connected to it as a wireless client will fail unless you disable management-over-wireless blocking on the WLC. Make sure you are doing your WLC setup over a wired connection.

AP Manager IP Address - 192.168.1.3, Subnet - 255.255.255.0, Gateway -

Raj,

If you are trying to access the WLC, either configure the Service Port and connect directly to that so you can access the GUI or connect port 1 of the WLC to a trunk port and then connect your laptop or pc to a switchport on the same vlan as the wlc management interface. You shouldn't connect your device directly to the wlc. Hopefully I'm understanding your issue here.
