LAG configuration problem (Cisco 5500 wlc and 2 x Cisco 3750 sw)

Hi,

I have a Cisco 5508 controller and two Cisco 3750s in a stack. The controller is attached to the 3750s and LAG is enabled: wlc's port 1 to gig1/0/2 and port 2 to gig2/0/2. Everything works fine if both switches are up and running, but if other one crashes the controller loses it connection. What am I missing? Thank you in advance.

Port configurations below:

------------------------

interface Port-channel1
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk native vlan 100
switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,60,70,100
switchport mode trunk
!
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/1
description UPLINK firewall/gateway
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport mode trunk
!
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/2
description wlc port 1
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk native vlan 100
switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,60,70,100
switchport mode trunk
channel-group 1 mode on

!
!
interface GigabitEthernet2/0/2
description wlc port 2
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk native vlan 100
switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,60,70,100
switchport mode trunk
channel-group 1 mode on

Re: LAG configuration problem (Cisco 5500 wlc and 2 x Cisco 3750

Hi,

I'm thinking about CSCth12513 LAG fail-over does not work on CT5508 or CSCti45379 CT5508 crashes when trying to shut the data ports one by one

They both affect 7.0

They are fixed in the 7.0.98.208 available through TAC. So a TAC case will confirm if you are hitting this but you can already read the bug details in the bug toolkit.

Hi,

What about the port configurations? Does them seem to be correct? Those bug desciptions doesn't quite match for this problem.

Well your port config looks ok.

It could also be an issue with the switch stack ... but I'm not expert in that field. Just pointing out looks close from a WLC perspective.

Okay, I'll have to try to debug what's wrong. I have no previous experience about switch stacks and controllers either.

Thank you for your quick reply.
