Latency in Wireless over BVI

Hello everyone. Just a fast one.

Does creating a bridged wireless connection creates more latency than using a plain physical directly to the physical one?

With a single connection on a 802.11abg hwic on a 1841 router i get a ping reply from 2 to 7 ms and was wondering if

VLAN is affecting the ping latency.

You will always have the higher latency on a wireless bridge connection versus a gigabit connection. However, that 2 to 7 ms is normal in some situations and really doesn't affect anything.
