LWAP 1142N convert to autonomous

When I am tftping the new IOS it suddenly times out, I then see that the static ip address that I set on Gi0 is gone and "ip address dhcp client-id GigabitEthernet0" is back in the interface config. Question is how do I stop this happening so I can complete IOS tftp transfer
