MacBook Air with Windows 8.1 Enterprise is not connecting to Wi Fi Network (Cisco 5500 Series Controller with Cisco Aironet 1140 Access Point)

Hi All,


We have a Corporate Wireless Network in our office. Recently we bought 10 MacBook Air laptops for top management. We have removed MAC OS from these laptops and installed Windows 8.1 Enterprise Edition as top level management is not comfortable in using MAC OS.


WiFi Network is equipped with Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controller and Cisco Aironet 1140 Access Points. Authentication is happening through RADIUS Server (our Windows domain login credentials).


Whenever we are trying to connect to our corporate network it is showing "Checking network requirements" and then it is showing error message "Can't connect to this network". Same laptop is working fine with different Enterprise network and home network.


As confirmed by Wireless Network Admin, "Authentication Failure" is occuring when we are trying to connect. But same login credentials are working fine with a Dell and Lenovo laptops. Then admin suggested us to update WiFi Adapter drivers, which didnot work.


Kindly suggest what can be done to make this working.

There is a known wifi issue

There is a known wifi issue with Window 8.X.  You need to upgrade your firmware to 7.0.250.X or 7.4.121.X.
