Re: Migrate existing configuration from 440x wism to 5760

I think what Loc is referring is not moving to CA, but use a 5760 as central controller & stay in CUWN (unified wireless). It should not be that hard. Yes, there is no migration option & you have to configure your 5760 from fresh.

To get your 5760 with basic config below post should help you on this.

Then you need to create your WLANs one by one. Here is very basic Open Auth WLAN on a 5760

Here is how you configure RADIUS & dot1x WLAN on a 5760

Any other config you may need to refer below config guide as well (I do not have reference post as I haven't test those by myself yet)

There is no migration from unified to converged. You will have to treat it as a new install.

I agree with Scott.  The best thing here is to re-design your wireless network.  If you are conciering UA (unifed access) then you definately want to re-design / re-think your netowrk.

Thanks for the head up, I now realize I have to read up and explain to my Team of the pro/con of MC/CA and decide...

      Thanks you all.

Hi Loc,

Yes, if you are completely moving to MC/MA (ie 3850/3650 at access layer & 5760 at distribution layer) then spend time to test those & comfortable with it before move in.

I am trying to go there.. but still in pilot/testing stages as it takes lots of time since not many good validated design documents available to public for thie Converged Access.
