Narrowband WLAN

Hi,

Got a quick and hopefully easy question on WLAN Narrowband, I’m learning from the Richard Deal CCNA book and I’m reading up on the Narrowband section in WLAN.

Can someone please confirm the below is correct description of Narrowband within WLANs:

Narrowband solutions  operate at a low data rate. Only one frequency is used for transmission of the wireless traffic: 900 mhz, 2.4Ghz, or 5GHz. Other technologies – household wireless phones, for instance-also use these technologies.

Narrowband usually does not overlap another channel like 802.11b for example. On a spectrum analyzer, you will see a narrow spike that almost looks like a line instead of a bell shape of wideband.

Hello there ..

Narrow band, as you noted uses one frequency at a time. FHH is another narrow band technology which includes blue-tooth.
