need to configure spanning tree portfast on the switch port

Do I need to configure the port which connected to the AP? I did search and can not find such info. My thought is to configure it so that it will not affect the spanning tree when one AP reboot.

I typically configure that on access point ports in local mode.

Thanks,

If the port is a trunk and this command is available on your switch:

spanning-tree portfast trunk

Or else, don't need to configure it.

Thanks,

Scott

need to configure spanning tree portfast on the switch port

Hi Raymond,

If you have AP Port connected to witch as trunk.

Then you can configure as:

Switch Configuration for AP Ports

switch(config)# mls qos

switch(config)# interface gigabitethernet 0/2

switch(config-if)# switchport access vlan 50

switch(config-if)# switchport mode access

switch(config-if)# spanning-tree portfast

switch(config-if)# spanning-tree bpduguard enable

If your port as trunk then you can use :

switch(config-if)# spanning-tree portfast trunk

Regards
