Newbe to AP350

In the power setup for the Cisco Aironet Access Points 350, it shows how power is to be supplied to the 350. My question is - why is the ethernet connection from the power injector to the switch (without inline power) needed? I think I understand why the connection from the power injector to the AP is needed but not the other connection.

Hi ,

power injector is used to supply the power through ethernet .

Power injector has two ethernet connector one going to switch and one going to AP

So packet travells from switch to power inector and power injector to AP ...

So cable between power injector and switch is to carry etherent packet from switch to AP ....

so under normal condition

wall- power adapter--Ap------ether cable ------switch

now with power injector

AP------------ power injector ----------Switch ---backbone

I hope this helps
