OEAP602I-C-K9 in Bridging Mode

Dear Cisco Team,

I am planning to procure one AIR-CT2504 Controller and five AIR-OEAP602I-C-K9 Access Points.

I will be physically connecting an Ethernet Cable between Controller and one AP (which will act as a bridging device) and need the other AP's to be connected to the bridged AP.

Please let me know if that would be possible. If not, kindly let me know suitable design option for this setup.

Regards,

Farhan.

This is NOT possible. OEAP600 is typically used for extending corporate SSID to home users and cannot be do any sort of configuration other than personal SSID via GUI. You can see a typical use cases of this in the given link below

You may need to look at different AP models & below Mesh deployment guide, if you want to achieve something like you described.

What you are asking to do is called WGB (Work Group Bridge). Where the other aps act as wireless clients. This allows you to connect other devices behind it. It has 2 flavors Cisco and Universal "modes". I suspect you have wired devices you want to connect behind these ?

Here is a config exmaple

OEAP60X can neither be WGB(or uWGB) nor be Mesh(map/rap). It can join WLC via hardwired(lan/wan) only. corp ssid and personal ssid were independent so no trick works.
