Password recovery in AP 1242Ag

Hi All ,

IS there any way to do the password recovery of AP instead of doing complete reset of configuration?

Thanks,

Regards,

Vijay

You can try to put the ap in ROMMON and rename the config.txt to config.txt.old and then tftp the config.txt.old and edit the config and upload it to the AP after you boot up to a new config.txt.

Re: Password recovery in AP 1242Ag

Hi Vijay,

If you can login to WLC then you can reset the username and password.

Login to WLC.

Click on  wireless tab then on the left side u will see Access Points tab, open this tab ..then click on Global Configuration tab. Now U can see the login credentials: please change here and then try it.

Be aware that AP have access via telnet.(If not then go to wireless>AP >ALL AP> click on AP name then go to Advanced Tab> enable telnet).

If this is not the case then.....

Hope it helps.
