I am setting up AP1200 and trunking 2 vlan and setup two SSID. This is what I wanted to do. Have one vlan and ssid that is not restricted, this SSID and would be broadcasted. People with out of the box confiured client would connect to this net get a DHCP address.
The other vlan is restricted, the SSID is broadcasted and requires the use EAP and dynamic WEP and DHCP. This is how our current AP350 are configured and wireless clients.
It was my understand, the SSID determined which vlan the client connected. If SSID was not configured they would get assigned a DHCP address from the public net. If the SSID and EAP was configured then they would get an address from the private DHCP net.
It seems the EAP setting are device wide and not dependant on vlan or SSID, is this correct? Could someone tell how I can set this up or point me to information that explains it.
thanks
