Does anyone know if there is a way to automatically enable/disable either the radios or the authentication for an ssid on a wlc? I'd want to disable at night and re-enable in the morning based on a time schedule.

You have three options:
1. WCS (as George has mentioned);
2. EnergyWise (as Scott has mentioned); and
3. Time-based ACL.

Yes, if you have WCS create a template to enable and disable the WLANs. Then schedule the template at the times you want.

Just to add to George's post... seems like this come up once a month:) If your doing 802.1x, you can also set a time for authentication, but the radios will still be on. If you have switches that support energy-wise, you can shut the port off and on also at a certain time.

I'll check into the energy wise configs. The switches we have are virtually brand new 2960s.
