RF Channel Assignment Changing from Global to Custom?

Hi All,

Can anyone advise why APs would be changing from Global to Custom for RF Channel assignment without user intervention?

We have a 5520WLC (8.5.120) with 1572APs running DCA using two channels 5 & 9 (don't ask why). After a period of running some APs revert to Custom and Channel 11.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi

On DCA you should have 1,6 and 11. Never saw this parameter changing with no internation, that's weird.

Either this is a bug or someone is changing it.

Well you know that channel 5 and 9 overlaps. Anyways, I too have never seen AP’s go from custom to global or vice vera which someone or a management tool making the change.

Thanks for prompt responses.

We'll do some further internal checking, and then raise a TAC case.
