Right I have a 2811 router with a wireless interface card (dot11radio), I have it setup and I can ping it, surf the internet its all singing and dancing.
Need to know how to enable WPA because at the moment any tom dic or harry can log on!!
I have tried to use the SDM v2.5 however when Im in the SDM and select Tools>>Wireless Application.... it just comes up with this warning message: "The wireless application is not installed on the router. Please select the Update feature from the tools menu to copy the wireless application to your routers flash"
FYI im running the SDM from my PC not the router so dont know why its saying the that. So I then go to Tools>>Update SDM>>Cisco.com and a CCO login is required.
Whats a CCO login , is that just the same login I use for this forum? If so it not working.
Was only using the SDM because I wanted to see the preview commands, if anyone could provide the CLI to enable WPA2 that would also be great...
Anyway thats where im at... a wireless connection that the whole street can use
CCO is the same login as what you would use on the forum. Access to software depends on your smartnet contract for a product. If your looking for a cli guide to setup wpa2, here you go. The hardware has to support wpa2 though or else you will only be able to use wpa. You will find this out if you don't have v2 option.

This is the start of a display filter cross reference between Wireshark and OmniPeek.
The 1st installment is a table of advanced filters. More filters will be added as time allows.
It is a living doc, so check back for changes every so often

I have created a Powershell script to automatically add a Wireless Guest User on Cisco WLCs. (tested on 2500 Series)
The script should be completely self explanatory.
