should I configure snmp on the light weight AP

Hi

I have configured snmp on the WLC and I think i do not need to configure snmp on the AP which connected to this WLC. If one AP reboot or fail, it will still send out the trap. Is it correct or I have to configure the snmp on each AP?

Thanks

Ray

Hi ray, This should work fine

Hi ray,

This should work fine without configuring snmp on the APs themselves, you just need to go to the WLC, under management tab, select SNMP, then Trap controls, then AP tab. In here make sure the tickboxes for AP interface up/down and AP register are selected.
