Trasparent bridging with repeater problems - Aironet 1131

Hiya

Currently we are installing Aironet 1131s. The DHCP server provides IP addresses after MAC authentication.

The root aironet units work fine. A wireless device can connect and will receive an IP address. However when we add an aironet repeater, devices will connect to it, but will not receive a network IP address. The repeater is communicating with the root unit, seems all we need to solve is the IP problem.

Are you certain the repeater AP is correctly associating with the root AP? Does it appear in the list of clients? An additional test would be to set the repeater AP to get it's IP address through DHCP and then see if it picks up an IP address via DHCP.

Thanks for your reply.

Seems we needed to specify our particular country mode (In this case NZ) and then it started working fine.
