Trouble connecting with cisco 1131 ap

We currently have two 1131 AP's setup in our shop.  They are running and people can connect without trouble.  We use an MDI (a wireless vehicle diagnostic tool supplied by General Motors) to diagnosis vehicles.  The MDI works just fine with our Linksys ap.  I can connect the MDI to one of the cisco 1131's, it will see the network and I can ping the device from multiple clients.  However when we start the client software to connect to the MDI wirelessly, it does not show up at all.  Any thoughts?

Disable Aironet Extentions and check once.. the command is..

en

config t

int dot11 0 or int dot11 1

no dot11 extension aironet

end

>> try connecting..

Of from the GUI... Network interfaces >> 802.11 G or 802.11A >> settings >> somewhere in the middle of the screen you can see Aironet Extentions.

I had the same problem except

I had the same problem except with a Cisco WLC 5508 and 1042 AP's.  I fixed the problem by enabling "Enable Global Multicast Mode"
