Unable to reset AP1242 to default

I have replaced removed some of AP1242 from one location (these APs had previously had joined the controller) NOw I'm trying to reset them to factory default so that I can send them to a different location and I'm having hard time to rese them, from the command line it say "command is locked" . When I press the mode button and reboot it only clears the ip add and mask but i can still see the gateway and the host name information. Can someone help me how to reset AP1242 to factory default without connecting to the controller.

When you console into the LAP, you flash should contain TWO (2) IOS, namely: The Recovery IOS (RCV) and the LAP IOS. Delete the LAP IOS using the command delete /f /r flash: .

Once the LAP IOS has been deleted and boot into the RCV image, you can run the CLI clear lwap private.
