I am trying to find out if the bootloader version and the system software version must match eachother. I downloaded the new IOS for our AP1130AG's.
From the web based GUI on one of my 1130's I selected System Software>>Software Upgrade>>.
Browsed to the tar file and let the device upgrade and reboot.
The thing I don't get is, when I look at the device now its version reads the following:
Product/Model Number: AIR-AP1131AG-A-K9
Top Assembly Serial Number: FTX0XXXXXXXXXXX
System Software Filename: c1130-k9w7-tar.123-8.JEA2
System Software Version: 12.3(8)JEA2
Bootloader Version: 12.3(7)JA1
System Uptime: 35 minutes
Should the bootloader version match the system software version? If so, how can I makethat happen? Is there a file I must download?
No worries here my friend :) This is standard and they don't need to match. Here is another example of an old AP we had kicking around;
Model info and software versions below:
Product/Model Number: AIR-AP1121G-A-K9
Top Assembly Serial Number:
System Software Filename: c1100-k9w7-tar.123-8.JEB1
System Software Version: 12.3(8)JEB1
Bootloader Version: 12.3(2)JA4
Hope this helps!
