Using Airmagnet Planner - 7925G new AP deployment

Hello,

I am using Airmagnet Planner to deploy new access points on a floor.  It is going to a voice grade deployment.  I was wondering what my transmit power should be for the access points I will be deploying in this planner.  I will be going with a 3602i, 5Ghz.  I'm not sure if i should be setting it at 17 dBm or 11dBm.

Can anyone give a recommendation?

Thanks

Hi,

Max Tx power for 7925g is 16dbm.

Check 7925g deployment guide.

Just to add... using any planner tool is risky especially for voice.  If your comfortable using the planner then thats good.  You might be safe to look at both 14dbm and 11dbm and compare and make a best judgement based on your experience and the building material.
