VLANs not passing thru trunk with 4404WLC

APs get IP addresses, but VLANs do not work. Switches look ok with trunking, etc. The SSID works, I get good signal, but no IP, via DHCP or hard-coded. It did work at 1 time, but no longer.

Check your switch uplink port to the core, if you are pruning vlans on that interface make sure the wireless vlans are allowed through. Also make sure on the core port to do the same. If not allowed you can use the below command to add them:

switchport trunk allowed vlan add 888,999

where 888,999 are your wireless vlans

Re: VLANs not passing thru trunk with 4404WLC

Just to get some stuff clear for LWAPP L3;

As fas as i know the AP's do not need a trunk port in pricipal. The are connected to a switch port in access mode. The vlan assigned to this port should be the VLAN/subnet from which the AP's get their IP address.

The WLC however must have trunked data ports. These data ports carry all the vlan's to the WLC.

Right?
