Does the WCS now support the Autonomous AP or does the Autonomous AP need to be converted to LAP in order for the WCS management?

Yes, the newer versions of WCS will support autonomous (IOS) AP's along with controllers and lightweight AP's.

So, in this case, is it possible for the WCS to control the Autonomous APs to launch a DOS attack on a detected rouge AP?

Can the WCS detect the Rogue AP coming from your Autonomous AP?

No, the WCS cannot detect a rouge AP coming from an Autonomous AP. My understanding is that the WLC is the device that detects the rouge APs and sends that information to the WCS. Also, with WCS and LAPs, the WCS can launch via LAPs, a DOS attack to rouge APs. My question is....can the WCS launch a DOS attack on rougue APs using LAPs?

If the WLC/LAP combo can detect and contain Rogue AP, how do think a WCS/Autonomous AP contain Rogue AP if the combo can't even find it.

One of the feature of the WCS/Autonomous AP is to allow for users to control the conversion of autonomous AP to LWAP.  Another is do some reporting.

That's all and nothing fancy.
