what is the maximum number of clients to a 1131 AP?

I have two WLC's and a 1131 that gets a ton of clients. When it got up to around 16 clients people started getting kicked off, however they were all sharing the same username and password. I was wondering if this is either an issue with max clients to a single AP or maximum amount of people logging in with the same username and password. Any ideas?

The theoretical maximum number of clients an AP can support is 2048 but this is unrealistic. Keep in mind that wireless is a shared medium just like the old days with hubs. Depending on the type of traffic that is being passed you could be overloading an AP with 16 clients. Its typically recommended to have less than 25 per AP but if the traffic is something like video streams I could see having the RF overloaded with 16.
