Wireless AP at 18m Height? Workable

Hi,

I have a customer with hughe exhibition halls. The height of the ceilig is 18m.

The only option customer agreed on is to put the AP above the ceiling and the antenaa on the below side.

I would like to check what is the best desgin model of such scenario? Will the coverage work from 18m?

Please suggest a suitable AP and antinna for such scenario.

Very interested to know if Aruba have a better solution?

It depends on your antenna's specification.

I would say that 18 meter is really high. It could be done by using a semi-directional antenna and point it toward the ground. But I am not sure how efficient it is in terms of coverage area.

I agree with Leo. Getting  the site survery done first would be better after that it will be easy  to decide the best desgin model of such scenario.
