wireless ap network

We have an existing network of mesh covering our installation place , which has 5 mesh & 2 root access points. Another 2 indoor AP's 1200 are to be put up in a small place near the existing mesh. We are planning to use the current bridge group for the new ap's.

1. Is it possible to create a new ssid for each of these 2 Ap's and associate them to that particular AP only.

2. If that is possible, do i need to create a new Interface on the controller & the network switch also?

3. The new device will need to have the same image as existing ones. so i was planning to connect the new ap's to the existing network and get the image

downloaded to the new ones. Is this possible? if so, how should i go  about it ?

Thanks in advance.

The AP1200's are pretty old and you hae to make sure it is supported on the code you are using on the WLC.  If you had and ap that is supported, here is my answer:

1. Is it possible to create a new ssid for each of these 2 Ap's and associate them to that particular AP only.

Yes.  You can define ap groups, which you specify what ssids will be broadcasted on what ap.

2. If that is possible, do i need to create a new Interface on the controller & the network switch also?

You only need to create an interface on the wlc if you plan on putting the traffic on a different subnet.  Then you would also need to make sure that subnet is created on the network side.

3. The new device will need to have the same image as existing ones. so i was planning to connect the new ap's to the existing network and get the image downloaded to the new ones. Is this possible? if so, how should i go about it ?

If the AP's are supported on the code you are using and has the lightweight image, then it will use the code that is on the wlc.
