Wireless AP Regulatory Domain Compliance

Hi,

I have WLC in country Australia and I have some APs AIR-LAP1142N-A-K9  & some AIR-LAP1142N-N-K9. All of these APs are getting associated properly with WLC and clients are getting associated. As per the Cisco Wireless LAN Compliance regulatory domain for Australia is -N.

So my question is how are APs with different regulatory domain are working and is it valid to run setup like this??

HI Kishor,

Technically, its illegal to operate an USA -A- 1142 at full power in Australia.

The channels are slightly different , but will still work.

Check the power setting and channel for diff country :http://krzeszewski.kis.p.lodz.pl/Cisco/AP-cisco-book/lwap_chp.pdf
