Wireless Bridge with 100 Mbps Backhaul

Hello

I am looking for a wireless Bridge which can provide the backhaul of 100 Mbps. I am able to see this in Motorola products. But in Cisco range of products I am able to see 1310 & 1410 access points only which are 802.11b/g standards and max of 54 Mbps.

Can you suggest me what is the products Cisco have in this space

Re: Wireless Bridge with 100 Mbps Backhaul

Sairam,

For short hops (<1 mile), we support bridging via the AP1250 and 1140 at 802.11n rates.  So best case, using a 40MHz wide channel in 5GHz, you could get up to something like 150Mbps (half duplex.)

These APs are not ruggedized for outdoor use, however, so you would need to put them into external enclosures (or maybe run the antenna cables from indoors to outdoors, bearing in mind the SNR loss introduced by the cable.)

See:  Point-to-point and Multi Point bridging support for 802.11n platforms

Cheers,

Aaron
