Wireless controller 2500 is good for 16 APs

I will buy controller 2500 AIR-CT2504-25-k9 for 16 APs 1600 series. I see "5 AP license for 2504 WLAN" in controller 's description, what does it means?

Yes 2504 will good enough for 16AP deployment

You have to buy AP lincence for this controller seperately (something like this L-LIC-CT2504-25A if you want 25AP licence). When you buy this minimum you have to get 5AP licence. That may be the one you see it in description.

This controller model can max support 75AP & if your deployment get bigger than this better to think about a different mode.

Tks for your quick reponse. But L-LIC-CT2504-25A is not found in CCW (also L-LIC-CT2504-25A=).

In my knowledge, I choose AIR-CT2504-25-K9 with description "2504 Wireless Controller with 25 AP Licenses ". i understand that It has 25 AP license by default. And "5 AP License for 2504 WLAN Controller" is additional 5 AP license if you upgrade to 30 APs

Is this correct?

HI,

Yes AIR-CT2504-25-K9 : is only for 25 AP licencse and its by default.

If you need to add more AP license to this then you have to use adder license.

To make it AP license to 30, you need to add a 5 AP adder license(L-LIC-CT2504-5A).

***  L-LIC-CT2504-25A --> this is a adder license for 25 APs not the default one.
