Wireless Controller connectivity to Nexus 2k

I recently moved a 4402 Wireless LAN Controller off of a 6509  connection and onto a Nexus 2k connection. The config on the 6509 for  the WLC was as follows:

interface GigabitEthernet2/2/32

description ESC-WLC-1 Wireless LAN Controller

switchport

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport mode trunk

mls qos trust cos

spanning-tree portfast edge trunk

When I configured the 2k FEX for connectivity, I entered the following comparable config:

int e101/1/23

description ESC-WLC-1 Wireless LAN Controller

switchport mode trunk

spanning-tree port type edge trunk

I  was not able to get connectivity to the WLC. The WLC was set to trunk  and the interface was up, but even when I issued a show vpc consistency  parameters on that interface and all looked good, no connectivity.

Here are some of my log captures:

2011 Nov 11  07:39:24 ESC-NX5010-1 %ETHPORT-3-IF_ERROR_VLANS_SUSPENDED: VLANs  1-5,10,51,100-112,120,155,201-202,251-252,255,302,307,310,320,1109 on  Interface Ethernet101/1/23 are being suspended. (Reason: Co

mpatibility check failed for port mode)

2011 Nov 11 07:39:24 ESC-NX5010-1 %ETHPORT-5-IF_UP: Interface Ethernet101/1/23 is up in mode trunk

2011 Nov 11 07:46:22 ESC-NX5010-1 %VSHD-5-VSHD_SYSLOG_CONFIG_I: Configured from vty by admin on 10.243.111.13@pts/1

Does anyone know if there is anything special on the Wireless LAN Controller that needs to be configured?

Thank you,

Bobby Grewal

Wireless Controller connectivity to Nexus 2k

We had a similiar issue between our 6509 and our Nexus 5010.  Turned out to be an issue with pruning on our Port Channel.

do a sh run int trunk and check vlan prunning.

Good day
