wireless controller help

We have a Cisco wireless controller and having some issue getting an ip address when connecting to an AP.

SSID is broadcasting and that's fine, but a laptop will not pickup an ip address.

we have a dhcp scope defined and enabled.

any idea?

Is the SSID pointing to the DHCP scope?

Re: wireless controller help

Hi,

Do you have WLC acting as DHCP server or you have an other external DHCP server ? Is DHCP proxy being enabled or disabled ?

For more information, please take a look at :

Are you using a DHCP scope defined on the WLC or an external DHCP server?

> Check which interface is used for the WLAN. Then check for this interface (controller>interfaces) if the IP address of the DHCP server is configured. If you're using the WLC as DHCP server, use the Management interface as ip address, else the IP address of the DHCP server.

Or do you want to prefer the IP helper address? > disable DHCP proxy
