wireless devices

1.Whenever new access points are added to the network on existing wireless controllers, do we need to configure anything

on the WCS for these, considering the controller is existent on the WCS. Wont the new access points reflect

directly on the WCS via the existing controller?

2. If a device is connected to a mesh access point via its ethernet port, is there any way to see (if it is connected

to the mesh access point) ,  on the wireless controller.

thanks in advance.

1.) You d on't have to do anything, but a refresh config from controller will pull them into the database immediatly, vs waitng for the polling to happen.  The only thing you would want to do, is place them on the map(s), if you are keeping track of that.

2.) Do you mean a singular device connected like a camera?  Or are you going to put a switch behind the MAP to bridge into a builidng?

In the case of a camera, you can check the ethernet ports to see if they are up, but you won't get device identification.
