Greeting,
When we use a Ghost server to do image upgrade on PCs, which brought down our entire wireless network. It only happens when the Ghost server use muilticast instead of unicast. All the network is on vlan 1. But this does not affect the wired network. Has anyone had any similar problems?
thanks for help,
Gene

As a matter of design, I would recommend splitting off into multiple routed VLANs to avoid this sort of issue. However, in the short term, you might want to try enabling igmp snooping on your switch. To do so, just run "ip igmp snooping". This tells the switch only to send multicast to ports that request membership in a specific multicast groups. The APs should not request membership, so you can cut out all of that traffic across the wireless.
Let me know if that helps.

I will try that and let you know the result.
