WLC 2112 GUI Connection problem

I am not able to connect to the GUI on the Cisco Wireless Controller 2112.  I noticed from the interface summary that the "GU" (GUI?) are all "No" on both the management and ap-manager interfaces.  How to set them to "Yes" from the console (CLI)?

Thanks.

Re: WLC 2112 GUI Connection problem

Are you ragging the native clan on the switch?

WLC 2112 GUI Connection problem

Only set the port to trunk mode on the switch (Cisco 3560G).  No vlan.

Re: WLC 2112 GUI Connection problem

Ok so is that IP in VLAN 1?

WLC 2112 GUI Connection problem

Yes.  Only one vlan on the LAN, vlan 1.

Re: WLC 2112 GUI Connection problem

The address you have configured for the management interface is not in the same subnet as the gateway you configured. If you correct the address you Gould be able to access it.

WLC 2112 GUI Connection problem

The subnet mask is 255.255.252.0, they should be in the same subnet.

I can ping the DHCP server from the WLC:

(Cisco Controller) >ping 1 0.1.2.1

Send count=3, Receive count=3 from 10.1.2.1

---

From the server I can ping the WLC too:

Pinging 10.1.4.161 with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 10.1.4.61: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=64

Reply from 10.1.4.61: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64

Reply from 10.1.4.61: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64

Reply from 10.1.4.61: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64

Ping statistics for 10.1.4.61:

    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:

    Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 1ms, Average = 0ms

---

I just couldn't access the WLC GUI through web browser.

Re: WLC 2112 GUI Connection problem

That mask gives you from 10.1.0.0 to 10.1.3.255 and the WLC is 10.1.4.x as to why you can ping not sure

WLC 2112 GUI Connection problem

I reset the WLC and did the initial setup.  The following are the new config, basically they are the same as provious, except the IP assignments.  Still can't access the GUI.  The GUI in the "Interface Information" are "No".

I still can ping the server from the WLC, and vice vesa.

Re: WLC 2112 GUI Connection problem

The No has to do with Guest interface.

Are you trying https? That is all the WLC supports by default and it doesn't redirect.

Tried both http and https, none works.

Re: WLC 2112 GUI Connection problem

Are you connected to port seven trying to access the WLC?

WLC 2112 GUI Connection problem

No, An AP (Cisco Aironet 1141) is connected to the WLC, on port 7.  Port 1 is connected to the switch.

Re: WLC 2112 GUI Connection problem

Can you share the switch config?
