We recently facing web reauthentication issue with cisco 2504 wireless controller. While a user going out of wireless network and coming back he have to authenticate again. We tried all the session timeouts settings in the controller but still the problem persist.
Is any way to keep the webauthentication session ?
That is how the WebAuth functions. What you need to do is either use sleeping clients if your on v7.6 or else you need to increase the idle timeout. This can be done on either the global setting on the main GUI page of the WLC or on the WLAN advanced tab, on new code. The session timer has to be higher or disabled, than the idle timer. I usually set the idle timer to 7200 or 14400 seconds (2 or 4 hours). This give someone time to go to lunch and come back. IF your running v7.6, then use the sleeping client feature.
Transferring Crash file from standby:
Login to the Active WLC in HA.
(Cisco Controller) >transfer upload datatype crash
(Cisco Controller) >transfer upload filename <Desired filename>
(Cisco Controller) >transfer up...
This is the start of a display filter cross reference between Wireshark and OmniPeek.
The 1st installment is a table of advanced filters. More filters will be added as time allows.
