WLC 4404 & AP1231 EOS??

First, I apologize for my English.. Sorry...

And, these is first time in the forum, and hope to get lucky here with my query.

I have a WLC4404-100-K9 witch 40 APs 1231. And I would add 40 additional APs. Is that the WLC and the APs are discontinued, I can place another AP model? I will have no problem with this discontinued WLC?. Thanks to all!

The question is, i have some problema to introduce another AP on my WLC???

Best regards!

Re: WLC 4404 & AP1231 EOS??

You can keep that WLC, but you will need to look at this compatibility matrix. Here you will see that the 4400 can only support up to v7.0.x, so you need to find an AP that works with that code.

One thing to note is that I wouldn't mix 802.11n with your non 802.11n in the same building unless you disable 802.11n.

You might have to buy from a refurb reseller to find access points that you can use. Many are EOS.

WLC 4404 & AP1231 EOS??

For 1121 and 1131, the latest (or last) firmware for 4400 can support the APs you have.
