Is there any limitations of network size for an interface in a WLC 5508?

Any recomendations of netmask size? Maximum /24, maximun /21?

Pros/Cons?

Netmask doesn't matter, For each WLC platform, only its supported wireless client and AP matters. WLC doesn't allow more than its hard coded client limit. 5508 supports 7000 wireless clients.

Ok, so i would be safe to do this, for example:

- Create an WLAN named "all_users"

- Connect this WLAN (via AP group) to an interface called "the_interface"

- Configure "the_interface" with 10.1.1.2 255.255.240.

That would actually mean that 4000+ clients could connect to a single interface. But it shouldn't be a problem with such an amount of clients?

Yes, that would work.  The limitation there would be to the number of clients the WLC can handle, IIRC it's 5000 users

Ok, thank you for your answers.

I was wondering if i could expect any problems with high amounts of broadcast trafiic with such large client networks?

Broadcast is blocked at the controller unless you allow broadcast forwarding.  So you are fine:)
