WLC 5508 IOS 6.0

is it possible to manage AP's over WAN with a 5508 running IOS 6.0?

If so can you point me to where I can read this config item in the 6.0 config documentation.

The first thing I noticed is that H-Reap does not support the models that we have at our sites;1200's.

So I guess we need to upgrade.

FlexConnect is only supported on these components:

1130AG, 1140, 1240AG, 1250, AP801, 1600, 2600, 3500I, 3500E, 3600, 1040, 1520, 1550, and 1260 APs
Cisco Flex 8500 and 7500, Cisco 5500, 4400, and 2500 Series Controllers
Catalyst 3750G Integrated WLC Switch
Cisco WiSM and WiSM2
Controller Network Module for Integrated Services Routers

One other question

I now have a lightweight that I wish to place at a remote location. This lightweight is currently operating on the local network. Can I take that LAP and place at the remote location and expect that it will discover the controler and operate as a remote unit at the remote site?

Yes you can connect at remote location but make sure that AP is getting IP either statically or via DHCP and can discover the WLC.

Yes, it can be managed through H-reap ie flexconnect.
