Can you make sure the SSID is broadcasted on both radios?  Maybe the client only has one radio, like 802.11b only, and the SSID is broadcasted on 802.11a.

Do you have AP Groups configured?

all the radios are enabled.

do i a have to manually assign the radios to the SSID you mean ?

Just make sure that the SSID is broadcasting on both radios.  Also make sure the SSID is assigned to the AP Group which the AP is currently using.

how i can assign the SSID to the AP Group ?

i am using the default AP group and there is no option to add WLAN to the AP Group.

I have created a new AP Group and now i can add in the WLANs and APs to this group.

do i have to assign the radios to this new AP group as well ?

Add the AP into the AP Group.

Make sure the SSID is also in the AP Group.

Cany you use this config:

wlan Guests 15 Guests
aaa-override ( once use this command then try without this command
broadcast-ssid
client vlan 85
no security wpa
no security wpa akm dot1x
no security wpa wpa2
no security wpa wpa2 ciphers aes
session-timeout 1800
no shutdown

Try this, I have a doubt that your first line of the config have issue.

it is working now.

the problem was not the WLAN config.

no wlan was assigned to the default-group. i created a new group and assigned WLAN and then the APs to it.

once both were assigned APs started broadcasting the WLANs.

thanks for the help guys.

Glad that you got it working.

Thanks for giving the correct solution here. ---> +5 Point
