WLC AP-Manager and Management IP Address

Dear All,

If I configure the AP-Manager and Management interface on the same vlan.

e.g. AP-Manager is 192.168.1.1 and Management Interface is 192.168.1.2

When I configure the DHCP Option 43 and Cisco ACS, which IP should I use (the AP-Manager IP or Management IP)?

Thanks.

C.K.

Re: WLC AP-Manager and Management IP Address

HI C.K,

When you configure option 43 you should return Management IP Address only so that APs can discover the controller and once AP discovers the controller via knowing its Management IP Address it can join the controller and then all internal communication between AP and controller will happen through AP-Manager IP Address which is done automatically and no manual intervention is required.
