A little confused. If I want my wireless clients to pick up a DHCP address from my corporate DHCP servers, do I need to click the Override button on, for the WLC to act as a relay agent, or the docs say that this happens by default?
Can someone pls confirm, as this is a little confusing. The help files mentions the below also???
Many thx indeed,
DHCP Server (Override)
When Override is selected, you can enter the IP address of your DHCP server. This is a required field for some WLAN configurations. There are three valid configurations:
- DHCP Server Override ON, a valid DHCP Server IP address, and DHCP Address Assignment Required: Requires all WLAN clients to obtain an IP address from the DHCP Server.
- DHCP Server Override ON, a valid DHCP Server IP address, and DHCP Address Assignment Not Required: Allows all WLAN clients to obtain an IP address from the DHCP Server or use a static IP address.
- DHCP Server Override OFF: Forces all WLAN clients to use the DHCP setting in the Management Interface, not the static address.

This is the start of a display filter cross reference between Wireshark and OmniPeek.
The 1st installment is a table of advanced filters. More filters will be added as time allows.
It is a living doc, so check back for changes every so often
