WLC Error

Hi

I have one 5500 and about 15 Cisco 3502 APs.

The problem is that one of the clients loses the connection to the network time to time

The error in the WLC logg is

*Dot1x_NW_MsgTask_0: Jul 06 17:42:38.934: %DOT1X-3-INVALID_WPA_KEY_MSG_STATE: 1x_eapkey.c:843 Received EAPOL-key M2 msg has invalid information when mobile is in START  state - invalid secure bit; KeyLen 24, Key type 1, client 00:21:6a:af:be:70

Any sugestions ?

Re: WLC Error

You say it's just one client having the issue, if so check the client setting and update the driver.

Re: WLC Error

If this is happening with one particular client only, if the client works fine for a while but then it fails and if the issue happens even if you have other wireless clients connected to the same access point the it is most likely to be an issue with the client itself so you may need to verify the firmware of the computer itself, try to do an update to avoid compatibility issues and if it does not connect at all then you may need to double check the client’s configuration.

If the issue continues, you may need to contact wireless client’s manufacturer for support.

WLC Error

This is usually happens with old drivers for computers or with wireless devices (wireless scanners, wireless priners...etc).
Usually - just like everyone else suggested - the fix is to upgrade the driver or the firmware of your device. It is a client compatibility issue most of the time. Updating the firmware/driver usually fixes such issues.
