It looks like the hostname is the same. In your CLI command and the output show the same name?

Re:WLC Hostname change

hai,

Thanks for your reply..

(Cisco Controller) >config sysname NDXBWLC01

(Cisco Controller)

But the sysname is not appearing on the CLI.

I have another two WLCs there still it shows the old hostname. Its not updating. If we tried show sysinfo command it shows the correct output on all WLcs.

(Cisco Controller) >config prompt <...>"

Enter system prompt up to 64 case sensitive characters.

What this stand for?

I need the sysname to appear on the CLI..Kindly help me

Re: WLC Hostname change

CLI prompt name can't be configured in GUI & it is just a prompt name on CLI.

CLI prompt & System name are different. System name is used by AP in HA as WLC name identifier, It is used in RRM Grouping purpose & Each WLC knows the identity of others.
