WPA-PSK on AIR-AP-1252AG-A-K9

On my AIR-AP-1252AG-A-K9 I have got it to work in Root AP Mode with no beacon using MAC authentication and WEP Encryption. I would like to use WPA-PSK but when I put in the WPA Pre-shared Key and select ASCII, then click on Apply. It acts like it takes it but it never comes back with the entry in the WPA Pre-shared Key entry box. I try using a client setup with WPA-PSK and I am unable to connect.

WPA key management involves a four-way handshake after EAP authentication successfully completes. You can see these four messages in debugs. If EAP does not successfully authenticate the client or if you do not see the messages, complete these steps:

1. Temporarily disable WPA.

2. Reenable the appropriate EAP.

3. Confirm that the authentication works.

Attached is WPA Configuration Overview.

On page 2 at one place is says the ACU does not support WPA-PSK and then blow that it has "You can Configure WPA-PSK when:" . It seems to me from this that EAP authentication is not required.
