you can try few basic test. Disable the security and make it as open and unsecured connection and then search for SSID.
Make sure the ssid is set to broadcast mode.
if you are not using wireless zero configuration client (windows wireless client), try to disable third party client and refer the network.
if nothing works and this is the first time you are trying to configure the router, you can also try to reset the router (small hole in the back of the router, use the pin) and try to configure as mentioned in the config guide.
