Is there any way of setting up a catalog structure where the business customer has one view and IT has another?  It is my understanding that we can't hide catalog entries from the customer, we can only hide services based on roles/permissions.  Does anyone have any suggestions of how best to implement this?

Hi Nancy,

To the extent that IT has permission to order "IT Services" (and the customer doesn't), you actually can accomplish this. Turn off the setting in Administration > Settings for "Display Empty Categories", and combine this with the use of ordering permissions to control the categories that appear to the logged in user.
